Youth Exchange Institute is approved by the Central Committee of Communist
Youth League of China(CYLC). It's an educational training organization
and under the jurisdiction of the International Department of the
Central Committee of CYLC and the Guangxi Committee of CYLC. Founded on March,2002, China Guangxi International Youth Exchange Institute is located in Guangxi Youth Leaders College(Guangxi Youth League Academy).Mr. Deng Jingfu ,associate professor is the president. The Institute aim is to carry out the youth activities of study, exchange, and training among China, Association of Southeast Asian Nations(ASEAN) and other countries; Promote the young people's friendship and understanding between China and other countries; enhance the friendship between China and neighbouring countries; further develop the friendly cooperations between different countries. On the 3rd day of september,2002,the first day of the new term of Senior Study and Research Program for International Young Cadres, 35 young cadres from Vietnam, Laos ,Thailand and Cambodia became the first members of the program . During March-April 2003,the Children's International Summer villages of Thailand and our Institute sponsored the summer activities for international children traveling China successfully in Nanning , China. The main programs for China Guangxi International Youth Exchange Institute are: 1, Senior study and research program for international young cadres. 2,Training program for special international young talented people 3,Training program for Chinese young >>>top Chinese Language Learning Program: This program is provided for people whose native language is not Chinese. Besides the main courses of Chinese language, many subsidiary courses relative to Chinese culture are opened for the students to understand Chinese culture better. All the teachers in the institute are experienced in teaching Chinese. Based on the rich teaching experience which has been accumulated from the success of the international youth leaders' senior study and research program, we take fairly flexible teaching forms. In addition to the class learning of Chinese language and Chinese culture, tour trips and cultural activities are planned to strengthen the students' understanding of Chinese culture. >>>top Chinese Culture Learning Program: This program is specially provided for the foreign youths who wish to study primary knowledge of Chinese language and culture during their short-term staying in China. It aims to help the students to develop their basic shills in Chinese listening, speaking and writing in a short time. Through the study of this program, the students will be able to express themselves in simple Chinese, understand Chinese daily conversation, grasp the knowledge of the structure and strokes of basic Chinese characters, Chinese phonetc system and some basic Chinese grammars. Meanwhile, visits and investigations are planned for the students to enlarge their knowledge about Chinese history, culture and society. In particular, the students will obtain the elementary knowledge about Chinese painting and calligraphy; learn some Chinese folk arts and customs; learn the general situations of Chinese culture, customs of Guangxi nationalities and Guangxi scenic spots and historical sites. >>>top Chinese Gongfu Learning Program: As one part of the splendid traditional culture in China, Chinese Gongfu enjoys the deep love of its enthusiasts home and abroad. It has many functions. On one hand, it can help people to build the body, cure the disease and prolong life. On the other hand, it introduces the art of attack and defence. Fistfight is also one of its contents. Moreover, it is a good way to cultivate a person's mind and refine his sentiment. It is also a good form of artistic performance. For the purpose to carry forward the culture of Chinese Gongfu, promote its development, build up people's health, let people make more friends through the exchange of Gongfu, and enhance the cooperation and exchange between Chinese and foreign people, Chinese Gongfu learning program is held for international people. >>>top Training class for Chinese cooking: China Guangxi International Youth Exchange Institute has advanced equipments for Chinese cooking. The purpose of the training class is to master the basic skill for Chinese cooking. The targets are foreign students who know a little Chinese or English. The content of studies: basic skill of Chinese cook in using knife and pot, managing the kitchen; choosing and distinguishing between the good and bad materials; cooking dried food, processing food, making salted food, judging the oil temperature and cooking duration, making more than 20 kinds of sauce of Sichuan food and Guangdong food and more than 50 kinds of Sichuan food and Guangdong food, decorating skill around the food, more than 20 cooking way of frying, stir frying, steaming , stewing, carving vegetables, making cold dish and dumplings. The Institute will organize the students to take part in the cooking skill Rank Examination after they have finished all the courses. The qualified students will award the National certificate of cooking skill Rank Examination. >>>top Training class for computer science: China Guangxi International Youth Exchange Institute(Guangxi Youth Leaders College) has established the National Computer Rank Examination site and training department by approval of the Central committee of CYLC and Ministry of Education. There are 120 computers which can go on internet and the equipments of the computer room are up-to date and sufficient. The Institute has the special ”°Chinese plus computer skills”± training class for the foreign teenagers who have got basic knowledge of Chinese or English. The Institute will organize the students to take part in the ”°National computer Rank Examination(NCRE)”± after they've finished all the courses. The qualified students will award the National Certificate of NCRE. >>>top Training class for Chinese Trade: Following the establishment of the framework China-ASEAN Free Trade Area and China becoming the member of World Trade Organization, Guangxi have become the bridgehead of China and ASEAN and got a lot of business opportunities. Premier Wen proposed that China-ASEAN Exposition would be held in Nanning every year, thus more and more foreign friends, especially the people from ASEAN countries will gather in Nanning, more and more businessmen from different countries will invest in China and do business with China. So it is very important for the businessmen who have or will come to China for investment£¬business and trade to participate the Trade training class. The Institute has offered the Chinese trade training class to fulfil the need for foreign friends.
